Spring Skin is in Session

Taking care of ourselves inside and out is always at the forefront of our lives. It is how we survive all of life’s seasons, in every aspect. We bend and sway with the changing of the temperatures of life in general.

As winter makes its way out and Spring enters, this is a great time to start to focus on being more alive. We can envision ourselves as growing with the flowers and the leaves – a reemergence of sorts.

It’s a great time to make a new appearance, just as the birds do.

It’s time for us to shed anything we want to leave behind and to pay closer attention to how we look and feel. Months of being indoors and wearing closed up shoes will soon completely escape us. Our toes will be out and our fingers yearning for the colors of spring.

Spring will bring fresh air and the temperature will be just right to enjoy the outdoors much more. It’s also a splendid opportunity to pamper your skin and bring forth rejuvenation and renewal.

As the seasons change, so should your skin care regimen – adjust your skin to the changing seasons so your skin can stay looking fresh and rejuvenated. While you can always book one of our professional aestheticians, we would like to help you with a few tips you can practice on your own.

Facials

Here are a few suggestions for you on how to keep your spring skin beautiful.

Here’s our personalized list made just for you, easy as 1-2-3

Lighten Up
Less moisturizer + Sunscreen
The dryness from the cold winter months will slowly evaporate so less moisturizer will be needed to keep your skin from drying out. Please be sure to add sunscreen as a daily regimen.

Spring is a time for lighter colors also – lighter make up. Try to be as fresh and natural as possible.

Protection From The Sun
UV rays are so damaging to the skin. Although you might find yourself wanting to bask in the glory of the beautiful rays, be sure that your skin is protected at all times. Spring sunburn will creep up on you so be sure to apply sunscreen half an hour before you head outside and reapply it every two hours or so.

Load Up On Vitamins
Sun exposure destroys collagen so make sure to increase your antioxidant. As collagen increases, your wrinkles will decrease. Besides vitamins, you can also find antioxidants in berries. Increase your Vitamin A which will prevent your skin from becoming dry and flaky. The more fruits you eat with antioxidants in them, the more your complexion will clear up and the elasticity in your skin will increase.

Consider our Pumpkin Peel Facial which contains powerful enzymes that act like alpha-hydroxy acids to rid the skin of dull, dry cells and promotes a younger looking skin. It will give an instant glowing complexion and will increase the rate of cell renewal and help to reverse the signs of aging.
